PRAYER CHAIN ~ We currently have two prayer chains, one by phone and one by email. The prayer chains are activated by the church office or Germaine Hansen whenever there is a prayer need for our church family and we also try to send out follow-up updates on the prayer requests when we receive them. Would you like to be notified when there is a prayer need? On the Friendship Register write ‘Prayer Chain’ and print your email address or if you would like to be contacted by phone a current phone number or contact the office at office@nsbaptist.org

SMALL GROUP ~ There will be one Small Group meeting in May on Sunday the 18th at 6:00 p.m. If you have not joined a Small Group yet you are encouraged to take this opportunity to come and check it out. Sign up at the Welcome Center or check with the office where the different groups meet.

IN MEMORY ~ The clock on the back wall of the Welcome Center is given in memory of Glen Davis by Marsha and Tom Dufford.

ALL CHURCH CLEANING DAY ~ The Trustees have scheduled Saturday, May 17th as the day to get the Spring cleaning done here at church. The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. on both inside and outside projects. A list of projects is on the bulletin board in the foyer. Come when you can and bring your tools and cleaning supplies that are needed to get the job done. If you are aware of other projects please list them on the sheet or contact a Trustee so they can be taken care of. If a project is done ahead of time please be sure to cross it off the list and thank you for your help in keeping our building and grounds looking nice and in good working order!

POSTCARDS FOR THE MONTH OF MAY – Jeff & Jessica Clochesy along with 5 month old Liam will be the recipients of your words of encouragement for the month of May. The Clochesy’s serve on the Mission field with The Navigators and are currently serving at the University of Illinois. Stop by the Missions table in the foyer today and pick up a postcard. When you are finished with your note drop off the postcard in the box on the Missions table. At the end of May these small gestures of thanks and encouragement will be mailed to them by the Missions Committee. Thank you for your participation!

WEDNESDAY – BIBLE STUDY AND PRAYER - You are invited to join in on Wednesday evenings as we discuss the ‘Gospel of John’ from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. We follow up the study time with a half hour of prayer from 7:30 – 8 pm. Come join us for the study or the prayer or both!

HOSPITALITY TEAMS… What is a Hospitality Team?
It is a group (we currently have 4) of women who come together when their team is called upon to plan, prepare, serve and clean up when we have a potluck or other scheduled food event at church. The teams are called upon on a rotation basis. Last year each team was used about two times. A team member may also be asked to donate supplies, food or contribute a few dollars to defray expenses, it is whatever works out best for your situation. We also have a few good men who help with tables and chairs and yes even wash dishes! There is always laughter in the kitchen as we serve the Lord and our church family. Sounds interesting? Ask some questions and maybe even try it once. Contact the office for more information.

A special ‘thank you’ to the team leaders and members that have served this past year and are willing to serve another year. We do appreciate you!
